New Delhi : Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal held discussions with key leaders from the Flanders region of Belgium, highlighting the growing opportunities for strengthening India–Belgium economic cooperation through the India–European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
Expressing his gratitude, Shri Goyal thanked Minister-President of Flanders Matthias Diependaele and Minister Annick De Ridder for hosting the interaction and extending their support towards enhancing bilateral economic ties.
The Commerce and Industry Minister stated that the India–EU FTA presents a significant opportunity to further elevate India–Belgium trade and economic relations, creating new possibilities for businesses, investors, and innovators on both sides.
During the engagement, Shri Goyal emphasised the potential for greater collaboration with the Flanders region in key areas including trade, investment, innovation, and technology partnerships.
The discussions reaffirmed India’s commitment to deepening its engagement with European partners and building a stronger economic partnership focused on sustainable growth, innovation, and shared prosperity.
